Your new role

Due to continued growth, they are looking to on board a Health and Safety Advisor. Owing to the collaborative ethos the team fosters, you must demonstrate a willingness to investigate opportunities to introduce improvements and identify appropriate innovations to achieve this. Due to the size of the company this role presents a great opportunity for growth with the ability to tailor the role to your ambitions. With your background in civil or infrastructure, you will bring your expertise to the following:

• Ensuring that health and safety objectives are fully embedded into the project
• Providing visible active support and advice to the contract
• Carrying out site inspections and auditing health and safety against the health and safety Management to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Safety Management System and recommend any corrective actions
• Liaising with Environmental and Quality auditors to ensure health and safety is integrated with environmental compliance and assurance
• Supporting and managing external audits, as well as providing corrective actions and closeout of audit findings

About you 

Along with your ability to help drive forward effective health and safety processes and systems you will ideally fulfil the below

• Demonstrate an engaging and through approach to health and safety
• Proven experience working on civil engineering / highways projects
• An eagerness to learn and develop the role
